Bio Biscuit Announces a $2.2 Million Investment to Expand its Saint-Hyacinthe Facility
24 August 2025
The Maskoutain company Bio Biscuit Inc., specialized in the manufacturing of pet food, announces the realization of a new investment project aimed at expanding its facilities on Avenue Trudeau in the Olivier-Chalifoux industrial park in Saint-Hyacinthe.
Valued at $2.2 million, this project will notably enable the renovation of the company’s administrative offices, in addition to extending its surface area within the building complex it occupies. It became necessary to support the development of its Oven-Baked Tradition brand, which is experiencing significant growth both domestically and internationally.
The work, the first phase of which began last month, is expected to be completed by next January. It will be carried out by the contracting firm Gestion LeMonnet inc. and financially supported by Desjardins, both partners in the project.
“Thanks to these new offices, we will be able to improve our efficiency by bringing the sales, marketing, purchasing, and administration departments together in the same space. This will give us the capacity to continue building our own internal marketing agency, while continuing the development of our Oven-Baked Tradition brand in Canada and in the countries where we export our products,” stated the President and CEO of Bio Biscuit Inc., Pierre Lemieux.
For her part, the Executive Director of Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole, Karine Guilbault, also expressed delight at the realization of this project. “Bio Biscuit is certainly on the list of the greatest business success stories in the greater Saint-Hyacinthe region. In less than ten years, it has more than doubled its number of employees, reaching approximately 200 people to date. This is thanks to impressive growth supported by several successive phases of investment. We are proud to still be partners in their projects,” she added.
The Bio Biscuit team was also able to count on the support of the professionals at Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole in the various stages that led to the realization of this investment project.
