MiXR Platform: A New Collaboration Between the CTAQ, the Stratégie bioalimentaire Montérégie, and Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole

5 November 2025

The Conseil de la transformation alimentaire du Québec (CTAQ) is pleased to announce a partnership with the Stratégie bioalimentaire Montérégie (SBM) and Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole aimed at fostering the mutualization of food processing equipment and infrastructure in the Montérégie region.

Led by CTAQ and accessible to all its members, the MiXR platform is an innovative digital tool designed to facilitate connections between businesses by matching supply and demand for shared resources, equipment, and spaces in the food processing sector. This partnership will intensify the promotion and adoption of the platform among food processors in Montérégie and their regional partners.

“CTAQ is delighted with this partnership, which will amplify MiXR’s impact in a region with high agri-food potential. By fostering collaboration and collective efficiency, we are equipping businesses to innovate, grow, and strengthen the competitiveness of our industry,” mentions Sylvie Cloutier, President and CEO of CTAQ.

This partnership is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Stratégie bioalimentaire Montérégie and the guidance of Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole. Promoting the MiXR platform among processors and support stakeholders in the region is part of the strategies included in the Regional Action Plan to facilitate the mutualization of food processing equipment and infrastructure in Montérégie.

“In an economic context where resources are limited, businesses must be creative to remain competitive. Mutualization can be a solution to integrate into their business models to support their growth. The MiXR platform will make it possible to list the supply and demand for equipment and infrastructure in the territory in order to facilitate connections between food processors. This is a need that has been widely expressed by businesses and our partners to facilitate business connections in Montérégie,” emphasized Catherine Cyr, Biofood Development Advisor at SBM.

“As an agri-food innovation hub, Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole is proud to contribute to this structuring initiative. Thanks to the arrival of an advisor dedicated to mutualization, we can now support businesses in concretely adopting the MiXR platform and transforming this opportunity into tangible collective projects that generate efficiency and innovation,” indicated Jade Proulx, Director of Agri-Food Innovation at Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole.

By joining forces, CTAQ, Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole, and SBM are helping to strengthen the competitiveness of Quebec’s agri-food sector. This collaboration highlights the importance of mutualization as a lever for sustainable development and innovation for food processing businesses in the region.
