13 January 2026

Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole celebrated the academic excellence and scientific contribution of two graduate students from the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine during the annual prizes and scholarships ceremony held on December 11 at the Marcel-Bourassa amphitheater.

As part of the academic component of the Léandre-Dion Awards, two $1,500 scholarships were presented to recognize the exceptional quality of the recipients’ academic journeys and research work.

For the year 2025, the scholarships were awarded to:

  • Salma Ramzi, a doctoral student (Ph.D.), for the excellence of her academic record and the rigor of her research in biotechnology;

  • Satya Beaudry, a master’s student (M.Sc.), in recognition of the remarkable quality of her academic journey and her scientific contribution.

In addition to their scholarships, the laureates received a commemorative medal, highlighting their commitment and contribution to advancing knowledge in agri-food and veterinary biotechnology.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s annual prizes and scholarships ceremony brings together the student community, faculty members, and several partners from the Saint-Hyacynth Graduate Studies Quarter each year. It provides a special opportunity to showcase emerging scientific talent and academic excellence.
